WINAMP
Winamp is
the most famous free mp3 player.
Thousands of skins, beautiful GUIs, and a lot of plugins that
increase its features (from graphic to audio quality, and much more).
Anyway... with years it seems to be afflicted by giantism
syndrome, shifting from a few kb to many MB (a syndrome that
appears to afflict a lot of applications, unfortunately...)

XMPLAY XMplay is
the mp3 player that with its reduced dimensions has
taken the place of the WinAmp of a few years ago.
Very small and compact, it has a simple and nice
graphical user interface, with a small equalizer. It
supports the most famous formats in native way (mp3,
ogg, etc.), and many others using Winamp plugins .
XMplay uses only a few kbs, a little resources
and little memory for a good quality.

FOOBAR 2000
Foobar 2000 is one of the best audio player for Windows
(partially open source). Don't let be fooled from
the ugly GUI, that almost does not
exist: Foobar 2000 supports natively a huge numer of audio formats,
like FLAC, OGG, MPC and many more without the need
of plugins. In short: you lose in GUI, but you earn
in compatibility (IMPORTANT: download foobar2000
special version, since it natively can play almost everything).

EvilLyrics
EvilLyrics is a small and very nice app that shows
us the text of the audio tracks that we are
listening (if it seeks in a huge internet database,
with over 15 million songs); it can also work for
karaoke. It is very light (only 300 kbs) and simple
to use. Its principal feature is the facility to
work at the same time with all the main audio
players (Foobar2000, WinAmp, XmPlay), or even with
playlist managers like the great
Mediamonkey.
If you want to read the textr of the songs you are
listening, EvilLyrics is a great choice.

VAN BASCO KARAOKE
PLAYER It is a good
app for the karaoke on the pc, completely free. As
you know, our pc is a perfect tool for karaoke,
because it allows to have a good time without having
to buy some additional peripheral.
The graphics is simple and linear, the
functionality is immediate and easy for everybody.
Indeed recommended. Once that the file .kar is
loaded, text and music will automatically start
synchronized.
