Online Armor Free is both a
firewall, an anti-rootkit
and an HIPS (anti intrusions
system) of good quality. The
free version doesn't contain
all the features of the
shareware one (that can be
configured better, and that
has greater abilities to
recognize keyloggers); who
wants to open some ports
could have troubles with the
free version. Nevertheless
it is lighter, and is anyway
very interesting for
recognition of suspicious
tasks.
Superfluous to note that
with Online Armor an
inexperienced user can make
damages to his own operating
system, more than with a
simple firewall: this
program in fact very often
asks to the user what doing,
and an inexperienced user
could block some tasks that
should be stopped.
Some consumers report
furthermore a slowdown in
certain P2P programs.
