Thunderbird
Thunderbird is a good open source email client. It
has many features of Outlook Express, but it can
claim a greater immunity
from viruses, good antispam filters, multple
accounts, and a lot more. It is easy to set up and
can be personalized in many ways.
Can be used freely even for commercial purposes.

FoxMail FoxMail
is anothoer great email client; unlike Thunderbird,
FoxMail is freeware, while Thunderbird is Open
Source (the code of Thunderbird is public, and this
creates both advantages and disadvantages; however
the advantages are generally considered more than
the disadvantages). It is quite simple, with a nice
graphics and works well.
Among the various features, there is the possibility
to check the sender of emails directly from the
server (and also to cancel them), without
downloading them on the pc.
FoxMail is a very simple and intuitive program; if
we don't have the necessity of a very deep setup, we
can male it work in less than a minute.
Sent and received messages, configuration,
formulations, etc., can be saved and restored in an
instant, since FoxMail resides in an only folder,
and we can move that folder (with setup, emails,
etc.) everywhere.

Koma Mail
Great email client, that has the advantage to not
require installation (it can be put anywhere, also
on a USB pen drive). Koma Mail has all the features
of a very good email app (POP3, optional encryption
SSL, IMAP, SMTP). Multiple email accounts are fully
supported (so we can check multiple email
addresses); Koma Mail can encrypt (optionally)
mails, to keep our mails far from indiscreet eyes.
Koma Mail also possesses a couple of antispam
filters, one based on a list of words and another
bayesian (as a lot of antispam filters). There is
also the possibility to create a whitelist in which
inserting good addresses (however I am not a
great supporter of the antispam filters, neither for
Koma Mail neither for other email clients).
Overall a very interesting free e-mail client, with
features worthy of a good shareware (paid) app.
