app for modifying audio tracks. You
can record sounds and edit them as
you like, including Cut and Paste,
mix tracks together, or apply
effects to your recordings.
It also has a built-in amplitude envelope editor,
a customizable spectrogram mode and a frequency
analysis window for audio analysis applications.
Built-in effects include Echo, Change Tempo, and
Noise Removal. The GUI is nice and simple, for one
of best free
audio software.

MP3 GAIN MP3Gain
analyzes and adjusts mp3 files so
that they have the same volume.
MP3Gain does not just do
peak normalization, as many
normalizers do. Instead, it does
some statistical analysis to
determine how loud the file actually
sounds to the human ear.
Also, the changes MP3Gain makes are
lossless. There is no
quality loss in the change because
the program adjusts the mp3 file
directly, without decoding and
re-encoding.
