Free antivirus to download


	Avira Antivir PE Great free antivirus. It is updated very frequently, it's 'light' and does not take up too many resources of the pc (unlike several other commercial antivirus apps which considerably slow down our pc). Very easy to install and configure, really efficient. The free version does not check the mail (POP3, SMTP) in real time, but the files are checked once on the pc. Though the number of false positives (bigger than in AV competitors), I consider Antivir the best free antivirus (for personal use), because of the balance between protection and speed. Avast! won the antivirus test of 2009, sure, but I still give my little preference to Antivir. download RATING: VERY GOOD


	Avast! Home Avast! is free for personal use. It is necessary to do a free registration, at the end of which a 12-months-serial will be sent to us (at the end of 12 months you will need to registrate again, always for free). Discreet performances in the virus recognition (however overcomed in the comparison with AntiVir), speed and lightness very good. Of all respect the results in the antivirus speed test. Updates are automatic, and they work fine, without problems of low speed and this represents a notable point in favor. Avast is practically identical to a commercial antivirus, in all of its features.
